EDC FEMALE STAFF PARTICIPATE IN INFORMATION SESSION ON BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

EDC Female Staff Participate in Information Session on Breast Cancer Awareness

EDC’s female staff gathered at the conference hall of the company’s headquarters today, October 26 for a debate and information session on the theme “Detecting Cancer: Overcoming Your Fears Means Gaining Years of Life.”

Presented by Zambo Huguette, gynecologist and obstetrician at the Yaounde Hospital of Gynecology and Obstetrics, the workshop was part of “Pink October,” a period between the middle and end of October dedicated to breast cancer awareness.

The presenter gave participants information on how to identify the early signs of breast cancer and emphasized the importance of early detection to ensure better medical care, increase the possibility of healing and reduce the rate of mortality.

At the end of the information session, participants were given the opportunity to get screened for breast cancer at the office of the company’s occupational physician. This demonstrates the Director General of EDC’s commitment to the physical and mental well-being of the personnel.
